There are many impediments to Jewish education but finances should never be one!  We ask that every family commits to some financial contribution, however we are very happy to discuss financial aid options for any family who needs it. If you select yes, you will discuss your payment ability in a confidential meeting with our Rabbi.

Section C: Release Forms

By signing my name below, my child(ren) have permission to participate in the religious school of Mount Freedom Jewish Center (MTFJC). In consideration of my child(ren)'s acceptance as a religious school student, I hereby waive any and all claims against Peninsula Sinai Congregation, its agents and its employees that may arise out of any injury, loss or damage suffered by my child(ren) during any religious school activity. I hereby authorize the Director of Youth Education & Programming, or person designated by the Director of Youth Education & Programming, to obtain emergency medical care for my child(ren) in the event such care is indicated. I give my permission for my child(ren) to receive emergency medical care by any nurse, doctor, paramedic or member of a medical staff of a hospital licensed by the State of New Jersey. I understand that every effort will be made to notify a parent/guardian prior to treatment.

I certify that my child(ren) is(are) in good physical health. They have my permission to participate in all activities that are part of the regular religious school program. Field trips may be arranged by Mount Freedom Jewish Center, and transportation may include bus or vehicle driven by a classmate's parent or guardian.

Learning Commitment

At MTFJC we are committed to Lifelong Jewish learning and aim to provide all students this foundation in childhood.  In order to become Bat/Bar Mitzvah at MTFJC, we expect that students in all grades will attend a meaningful Jewish educational program in order to achieve this goal.   If you do not intend to enroll your child(ren), or have any issue or concern about this policy please be in touch with the Rabbi to discuss.

Media Release

From time to time your child’s photo may be taken in our classrooms or special events.  We use these photos in the shul newsletter, on our synagogue display boards, the MTFJC website as well as private Facebook groups and other publicity materials.

Hebrew School Tuition 2023-2024

Multi-Student Discount:  Tuition for each additional child per family will be 75% of the lower grade child(ren)’s tuition.
Referral Discount: Refer a new 1st year family that joins the MTFJC Hebrew School and receive a $50 discount for each referral.
New Family Discount: New families will receive a 10% discount on their student tuition if 50% deposit towards the tuition is made before June 30, 2023.

Security Fee:  Each family will be charged a $150 Security Fee to help cover the cost of our security guard who will be present for all class days. 
Incidental Fees: Fees for books and other items may apply.
Fully Payment by September 1, 2023:  The full Religious School tuition is due by September 1, 2023 or students will not be permitted to attend school (unless other arrangements are made with the Treasurer). Please schedule an appointment with Rabbi East to discuss tuition assistance or financial aid.

$700 tuition for MTFJC Member in good standing for two or more years.

Student enrollment costs will be finalized, together with you, with a Hebrew School point of contact.

Bar / Bat Mitzvah Training Fees

MTFJC Member in good standing for two or more years: $360 (additional fees may apply for use of synagogue)

Attendance Information
  • Our Hebrew School meets on Tuesdays from 4:30 until 6:00 PM
  • We follow the Randolph School Calendar for Holidays and days off.
  • In the event of bad weather, we close if Randolph Schools / After School Activities are cancelled.
  • If you know that your child will be absent, please contact the synagogue in advance.
  • If sports or extra-curricular activities regularly conflict with Hebrew School, please be sure to make arrangements with the Rabbi and teaching staff.
