MAKE IT A HABIT TO SUPPORT ISRAEL! We want - and need - our shul community to support Israel, on a regular basis!
Make it a habit! Commit yourself to regularly help Israel: Do something meaningful every day - or every week - at a specified time!
I. Engage in ACTIVISM
~ Call our Senators and Congressman – and reps from other Districts too – ask for their immediate support of foreign aid for Israel * Sign up to receive AIPAC’s “Alerts”, Follow this Link * These “Alerts” will enable you to write – or call – congressional representatives in less than a minute! * Foreign aid packages are being debated in the House this week. Make your voice heard!
~ Write a “Letter to the Editor”: National and local newspapers – and TV stations – are increasingly hostile to Israel. They need to hear from us! * Sign up to receive CAMERA’s “Alerts”, HERE * Sgn up to receive Honest Reporting’s “Alerts” HERE / * These “Alerts” provide you with information and ideas about what to write
* Also, frequently, these “Alerts” will enable you to sign a Petition in just a few seconds related to biased or totally inaccurate news coverage * For example, go here, and sign a Petition protesting the NY Times and Washington Post’s reliance on a photographer who is a known Hamas supporter: https://honestreporting.com/hold-amra-accountable/
~ Join the Sunday “Run for Their Lives”: Go for a “run” with others, or just go for an 18 minute walk, at the Veteran’s Park flagpole, in Randolph. You’ll be part of a global initiative calling for the immediate release of hostages.
II. Educate Yourselves
* There are many ways to learn more about Israel, and thus be better armed to support the country * For example, this week, try signing up to read Rabbi Daniel Gordi’s “Israel from the Inside”. It’s a fabulous newsletter providing insights about what’s happening in Israel. *Times of Israel Podcast - LINK * III. Spiritual Activities
* Come to Shabbat Services: If you can’t make it for our full service, come at 11:15 when we will be talking specifically about Israel. Fellow Shul members share about their personal experiences in Israel.
* Study Torah: After Shabbat Services, we study a mishna in honor of Israel Join Torah FYT Zoom, Thursdays at 10AM Here's the Link for the Zoom Learn More Torah for it's own sake on this website Torah Study
* Join our Tehillim Zoom Service: Every Monday night, at 9. We’re adding speakers to merge content with our prayers! Here's the Link for the Zoom
IV. Support Israel with Tzedekah
* Buy a Bond! Israel needs financial assistance & interest rates are high LINK to ISRAEL BONDS
* Contribute funds to those visiting Israel: Many congregants go to Israel to support the country. While there, they contribute funds for soldiers, displaced Israelis, families who have lost loved ones, and many other causes. In upcoming newsletters, we will provide names of our congregants who are going to Israel. Offer them funds to support their efforts.

Dear Friend,
Next week will mark 180 days of our hostages in captivity. 180 days of blind hate. 180 days of the world abandoning Israel.
We cannot allow another day to pass without standing up for Israel and demanding the release of our hostages. We need YOUR help TODAY to send a strong message to President Biden to support Israel, combat antisemitism, and secure the release of our hostages. To do so, we will collect 180,000 signed letters that will be hand-delivered to the White House on Wednesday, April 3rd - the 180th day since October 7th. The only way this can happen is if everyone who cares about the Jewish People helps today.
How YOU can Help TODAY:
Sign the letter virtually TODAY: Visit ou.org/180 to sign a virtual letter that we will individually print and personally deliver to the White House.
Mobilize your family TODAY: Share the link with your friends, family, and community members. You can also create a team page. Go to ou.org/180-create/ , fill in your team name and enter the number of signatures you plan to collect. Once you submit the team information, you will be able to view your team's page and start sharing the URL.
Print the letter, sign it, and email it to the OU TODAY: Download the printable letter here , sign it, scan it, and email it to us at 180for180@ou.org by THIS Sunday night, March 31st. We will hand deliver your letters to the White House on April 3rd.
Mobilize your school TODAY: We need every class to spend five minutes signing letters ensuring that the next generation makes a difference.
Mobilize your shul TODAY: In addition to the Tehillim said after davening, every shul minyan should conclude with an announcement telling everyone to sign the letter before leaving shul.
Spread the campaign TODAY: For this to be successful, we need as many signed letters as possible! Share this campaign on social media using the hashtag #180for180 and tag the OU so we can reshare. Share the link through WhatsApp as well to encourage others to join the cause and forward it to their friends and family. Print and display this flyer in your shuls, schools and communities to encourage as many people as possible to submit letters.
Attend the Press Conference in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, April 3rd- the 180th day since October 7th. We will gather in Lafayette Park, right near the White House, for a press conference. You can bring your signed letters so we can deliver them directly to the White House. RSVP here .
